Hammel Machine Products, located next to the Pewaukee River, is proud to be the point of entry for the Pewaukee River Run. The River Run is one of Pewaukee's local traditions. Put on by the Kiwanis for the past 30 years, proceeds raised from the event go to support the local community. Typically the Pewaukee River Run is held on the last Saturday of each April. It begins in Pewaukee and finishes six miles away at Frame Park in Waukesha where a picnic is held. Each year sees about 200 entries into the event. Results for 2007 top finishers are HERE.

Also held in Pewaukee is the TREK 100.

Bicycling Magazine calls the TREK 100 "One of the best rides in the country."
For over 15 years the TREK 100 has raised millions of dollars for the MACC FUND (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer). This is an early June event which traditionally begins and ends at WCTC (Waukesha County Technical College). 3-Time Tour De France winner Gregg Lemond has participated in the ride several times over the years, so you never know who may turn up.
Each of the approximately 2,500 riders, will chose to ride from 20 to 100 miles on well established courses. There are dozens of volunteers that help along the way and provide ride support and refreshments at rest stops along the route.
